A bit like Tai Chi
The sea moves rhythmically
Ebbing and flowing

Wilf and Mary

Mi fayther waur a painter,
afore ‘e went to war.
‘e papered t’upstairs landin’
an’ painted mi bedroom do-or.

‘e waur an old-time dancer,
in’t bouncin’ ballroom und’t tower,
waltzin’ wi’ a Yorkshire lass.
“By gum thart waur mi moother.”

‘er once made ‘im a puddin’,
‘e thart it waur reet nice.
‘er ne’er told ‘im it waur ‘eaven sent,
an owd tin of Ambrosia rice.
